Alvo’s Palma drilling continues to deliver consistently high grades

The final assay results from Alvo Minerals’ phase 1 diamond drill program at the C3 deposit at the Palma project in Brazil have delivered ‘exceptional’ wide and high-grade copper-zinc VMS intercepts.

 Best results include;

  • 0m at 2.89% copper, 4.41% zinc, 0.33% lead, 29.80 g/t silver and 0.09 g/t gold from 71m, including 7.0m at 5.24% copper,8.01% zinc, 0.33% lead, 49.71 g/t silver and 0.16 g/t gold from 73m (PD3018);
  • 0m at 0.60% copper and 0.91% zinc from 13m (PD3-018- Supergene mineralisation);
  • 0m at 1.81% copper, 14.23% zinc, 0.37% lead, 20.53 g/t silver and 0.04g/t gold from 252m, including 7.4m at 2.20% copper, 23.13% zinc, 0.60% lead, 30.28 g/t silver and 0.06 g/t gold from 259m (PD3-014); and
  • 7m at 0.98% copper, 3.35% zinc, 0.05% lead, 6.27 g/t silver and 0.06 g/t gold from 319m, including, 4.0m @ 1.88% copper, 14.10% zinc, 0.08% lead, 12.63 g/t silver and 0.08 g/t gold from 330m (PD3-013).

The Palma Project has a JORC 2012 Inferred Mineral Resource Estimate of 4.6Mt at 1.0% copper, 3.9% zinc, 0.4% lead and 20 g/t silver – and the company says the results highlight the potential to expand the resource further.
